The Embassy of Slovakia to Lebanon, the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Lebanon, the American University of Beirut and plus421 Foundation presented a special event  Jazz & Art and Fashion Show that took place at the Assembly Hall of the AUB on November 18, 2013. It was a presentational event organized jointly by the +421 Foundation    / www.plus421.org /. 

 

Guests had an opportunity to enjoy an evening of music, art, and fashion. Milan  Svoboda quartet  / www.milansvoboda.com /, the leading Czech modern jazz band performed its best pieces and Gabriela Giotto / www.gabriela-giotto.sk /, the Slovak artist and fashion designer presented her colorful art-works with help of beautiful models from Slovakia. Alexandra Kazlovova, the rising media and presentation star, was the host of the evening. 

 

The aim of this event was to expose influential audiences to the cultural, intellectual and social richness of Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The event was devoted to the 20^th anniversary of the peaceful division of former Czecho-Slovakia and the 24^th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution – peaceful change of the regime in former Czecho-Slovakia.
