EUGEN SUCHON AWARD IN MUSIC
The Eugen Suchoň Award in Music, established by the +421 Foundation, recognizes outstanding contributions to classical music by Slovak musicians and artists who champion Slovak repertoire internationally. Presented every two years, this award honors those who embody artistic excellence and contribute to the rich cultural legacy of Slovakia.
Named after the renowned Slovak composer Eugen Suchoň, the award celebrates musicians at various stages of their careers who demonstrate exceptional artistry and promise. Through this award, the +421 Foundation continues its mission to support and elevate classical musicians, ensuring Slovakia’s musical heritage thrives on the global stage.
The 2024 recipient is soprano Angelika Fabryová, a rising talent in the operatic world whose dedication and artistry exemplify the next generation of Slovak musicians.
